When I recently reviewed the Pococo Galaxy projector I was introduced to a new type of mini projection disc, one I thought exclusive to the Pococo products. Imagine my surprise on opening the Orzorzs Galaxy Night Light to find it uses the same discs!
Orzorz Galaxy Night Light
With a wide range of additional discs available, the Orzorz Galaxy Night Light offers a good starter package that can be easily expanded further.

Pros
- 5 discs included
- Lots of optional discs
- Reasonable price
Cons
- No shooting star
In the Box
As well as the main projector, a USB power cable is included along with 5 projection discs.
The projector has a battery built in (charged via the USB cable), which means you don’t need a power outlet nearby to use it.
It isn’t very heavy, and as it’s battery powered, it means you can place this wherever you like. Move it from room to room, take it to a friend, pop it on a bookshelf etc.
It has 180-degree angle adjustment, making it easy to point this at either the ceiling or the wall.
The 5 discs included are:
- Moon
- Milky Way
- Earth and Moon
- Pillar of Creation
- NGC 2359

Orzorz Galaxy Night Light
Getting setup only takes a few moments. If it isn’t charged, you’ll need to plug it in and wait 5 – 10 minutes for the battery to get some power into it. While waiting, you can decide which disc you want to view and load it up.
The loading tray has a cover flap to hold the disc in place and this is magnetically held down. Pop the disc in the tray, the tray in the projector and power the unit on.
There are 3 controls along the bottom: a power button, rotation button, and auto offer selector (15, 30 or 60 minutes).
On the top is a focus ring. I found I had to use that whenever I changed discs to make sure I got the best quality.
I really enjoyed the large moon projection; it looked fantastic, much better than I expected. The discs included give you a good range of different styles, and if you want more options there are a lot of optional discs readily available.

What do others think?
At the time of writing customers are loving the projector, with 56% rating it 5 stars on Amazon.
One issue people have raised is the lack of remote control. As there are only 3 controls I didn’t find this an issue. Other projectors do need a remote or an app, they let you change colours, brightness etc, but this device is so simple I think a remote would just add cost rather than useful functionality.
Overall, the Orzorz Galaxy Night Light is great for anyone who wants a good-looking and performing astro projector that has a lot of optional discs.
